Who are The Foster Brothers?
The Foster Brothers are an acoustic duo consisting of 2 brothers, Barney and Joel from Burton Upon Trent in the midlands. Though we have only been publicly gigging since 2019 as The Foster Brothers, being full brothers, we have been playing the guitar and harmonising together for well over 15 years, unknowingly perfecting our signature sound since a young age. This is something we think sets us apart from any other band; no-one can compare to how in sync we are when performing, and how we know each other's next move musically. Something plain to see when watching and listening to us perform.
Our duo set up is made up of 2 harmonised vocals (harmonising every single note), 2 acoustic guitars, and 1 electronic kick pedal; creating a substantial sound for an acoustic duo!
However, should you opt to book our Lennon & McCartney package, we replace our kick pedal with a full electric drum kit! Whilst both options are entertaining, the addition of our drummer really gives us that party feel!
Throughout our childhood we had become accustomed to the music of bands from as far back as The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and The Everly Brothers, to as current as The Arctic Monkeys, McFly and The Kooks; which is clearly reflected in our set list. In other words, everyone from 1 years old to 100 years old will undoubtedly enjoy our set!
Quite quickly after starting playing publicly we realised we have a flair for entertaining people with our energy, diverse set list, and clever mashups/ medleys (all arranged by us)! In other words, we are the perfect act for weddings and private events (modest too); specialists in upbeat, lively evening music to get you and your guests on their feet!

Vocals / Acoustic Guitar / Drum Pedal
The older brother of us, Barney has been playing the guitar (self-taught) since the age of 7. Being a huge fan of 'Simon & Garfunkel' from a young age, Barney has always had a flair for harmonising when singing, and therefore takes this role in most of the songs in our set, as well as providing much of the rhythm guitar.
Vocals / Acoustic Guitar
Joel is the younger brother of our acoustic duo, and too has been playing the guitar since the age of 7. Joel has developed a flare for playing lead guitar and therefore plays a majority of solos within our set, as well as providing most of the lead vocals. Joel enjoys a wide range of genres, from 'The Everly Brothers' to 'The Arctic Monkeys'.
Though we are experts in entertaining and performing, we know this is not enough on its own and understand that you and your venues want reassurance of professionalism and high quality equipment. This is why we have the following...
PAT TESTING
All of our equipment is PAT tested, as well as all equipment used by Green Light Events. This means we can readily submit our certificates over to you and your venues to give you piece of mind that all equipment is in excellent working order.
INSURANCE
We are insured for up to £1 million in accidental damage and public liability insurance. Again, venues will often request confirmation of this, and we can readily provide any certification needed.
BOOKING process
We use a company called 17Hats for our booking processes. This allows our customers to check their quotes, contracts and invoices at any time from enquiring, right up to the date of the event. This also avoids any confusion or any surprise fees!
Green Light Events provides the professional lighting and sound system for the 'Elton & Bernie Package', as well as the 'Lennon & McCartney Package'.
'Green Light Events has been established since 2016 but is formed from an extensive knowledge and experience going back over 60 years. With both sound and lighting experience we use our talented resources to create large and small events. We have a drive for professionalism and high quality service.
